Orchids in bloom – October 2015

So October is over and it is time to see what orchids were in bloom!

Oncidium Sharry Baby is always a joy when in bloom, it fills my balcony with the best chocolate scent ever!

Maxillaria rufescens is yet anoter very fragrant orchid, smelling of a very aromatic vanilla.

Dendrobium Velver Melody is not fragrant, but has one of the darkest purple color in the orchid world, very hard to catch on camera or photos.

Aliceara (Beallara) Diana Dunn Gothic is my crown jewel, although only one flower bloomed this year.

Phalaenopsis bellina is an everlasting summer bloomer, mouth watering fragrance and mesmerizing colors

Her cousin, the Phalaenopsis bellina Red Apple is quite pretty too, but not as fragrant
