Orchids in bloom and new purchases – December 2016

Here we are in 2017 and it’s time to take a look at the orchids that were in bloom in December, as well as the new comers to the collection!

So in order of appearance, the orchids I talked about are:

Bulbo. Elizabeth Ann ‘Buckleberry’ an amazing little orchid with a large showy flower that everyone should have!

Beallara Diana Dunn ‘Gothic’, easily one of my favorite intergenerics and great bloomer!

Paphiopedilum American hybrid, very easy to find orchid and great for beginners, more on paphs here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qD0VAH3oZmY

Brassia Orange Delight, a wonderful spider orchid with the greatest golden yellow color ever!

Colmanara (Oncostele) Wildcat Bobcat, a replacement for the one I lost, great bloomer and easy to grow!

A big lip Phalaenopsis hybrid that I have no ID for yet 🙁

Cymbidium Sarah Jean Ice Cascade, a great pendant Cymbidium that can fit on a windowsill!
