Repotting mini Dendrobium Orchid – What a disaster!!!
Today we take a look at the recent miniature flowered Dendrobium I purchased and try to solve the mystery of the single shriveled cane. Little did I know things would take a turn for the worst!

The repotting started out as normal, by trying to remove the orchid from its original medium. The medium seemed so heavy and compacted, but I didn’t think for one second it would be.. peat moss! therefore, the orchid did not want to come out normally.. it came out in pieces!
Now I am not entirely sure if the orchid was separated prior to me unpotting it, at least one of the canes was, but everything just fell apart when the orchid was out of the peat moss. Inside there were white new growths and only one section had roots.
Now the silver lining? well what if I have 3 different looking orchids? that would turn this fail situation into a complete success!
