Cattleya Orchids are some of the showiest and most fragrant Orchids we can grow in our home! They are generally vigorous and easy to grow, if we know a few tips about them!

They love bright light and warm temperatures and don’t really like cold weather. They are great for growing outdoor in warm weather!

Cattleya Orchids love air around their roots, so a ventilated pot and airy medium is a must! They also need feeding, a well rounded, complete fertilizer which also contains Calcium and Magnesium is ideal.

It’s always best to stay on the drier side with these Orchids, so the premade mix is safe for most homes. In extremely hot environments sphagnum moss is a great addition to a bark mix!

Repotting is done just like with a Phalaenopsis orchid, the roots which are not alive anymore should be removed.
