How I clean Orchid roots – Vanda in need of attention!

Today we need to tend for my little Vanda orchid, as she is in need of a good root clean up! Here is my usual and pretty complete routine, as part of orchid maintenance!

I purchased the Rhynchocentrum Ladda Gold, a vandaceous orchid, earlier this year and it looked like this https://youtu.be/r37OYoQXwGg
It turns out most of the roots were gone and maybe I did not remove all of the damaged roots. Now my greenhouse is full of an awful smell whenever I water this orchid. Something is happening in the pot!
As it turns out, we have a dead algae problem, rather then roots. As they accumulate they start to decompose and smell really bad. I opted for a microfiber change and a new, more transparent pot / basket.
