Today we take a look at my Cycnodes Jumbo Puff that has already opened all its flowers! To my surprise they look like birds in flight 😀

Cycnodes Jumbo Puff (mine is the Taiyoung variety) is a cross between Cycnoches warscewiczii and Mormodes badia, making it a primary hybrid. It produces multiple yellow flowers that have back curved petals. To me they absolutely look like birds in flight!
The blooms are also fragrant, but this time it is not a very strong scent, like other people have experienced. It might have to do with the quantity of light the orchid receives, as it is stronger in very bright light.
The scent reminds me of sweet vanilla syrup, it is quite lovely although artificial. Overall I don;t find it offensive and the orchid is well worth growing.
