Interesting flowering habit on Osmoglossum pulchellum Orchid!
So here is my Osmoglossum pulchellum orchid producing a flower spike! it appears that the spike is developing inside a closed leaf, the leaf is slightly swollen so it does not damage the spike, it is more like a sheath!
Now I am not sure if this is normal since no one talks about it, so if you know anything do let me know! But right now I am guessing this is on purpose and the orchid is just protecting its spike.
What do you think about this? I find it really interesting, I just love surprises like this from species I’ve never grown before 😀
