Today I will show you how to water Phalaenopsis Orchids! This will be an easy, step by step, detailed tutorial which will help you water your Phalaenopsis Orchid the right way!

Watering Phalaenopsis Orchids is a very easy, but important aspect of their care. They don’t naturally grow in soil, so watering should be done in accordance to the medium and pot they grow in!

In media which don’t hold too much water, such as bark mixes like these https://go.missorchidgirl.com/0KeZO4 running water through the pot, or even soaking the Orchid is beneficial.

In much more water retentive media, such as these https://go.missorchidgirl.com/kSHk4l just run water through the pot, no soaking needed.

In balanced media such as this https://go.missorchidgirl.com/iFEr1a both methods can be used.

Never use hot or freezing cold water, it can damage the roots in time! Also don’t let water stand in the crown and in between the leaves, there is no wind to dry it in our homes!
