Phalaenopsis bellina, or violacea? that is the question!
Here is my Phalaenopsis seedling that I purchased from Malaysia 2 years ago, finally in bloom! now I have a dilemma, is this a violacea or a bellina?
It came labeled as violacea, the problem is I received a bonus violacea that seems to have different looking foliage. I always assumed one would be a bellina. This video was filmed when the flower was about 3 days old and fragrance wise it smells much lighter than my bellina but pretty much identical. It could be that this is the first bloom and fragrance is not developed.
In any case I do like the color and the slight pattern on the flower. I hoped the fragrance would be different, but we’ll see when I arrive home.
