Phalaenopsis Orchids routine check-up! + Transforming any Orchid pot in self watering

Today we take a look at my Phalaenopsis Orchids, as part of my regular Orchid check-up!

The purpose of the check-ups is to spot ailments and pests before they become a real problem. Since I am cleaning the greenhouse, I’ll also switch up a few shelves, so that my lovely Phals are in the spotlight when they are in bloom!

I moved my Mini Phalaenopsis and also the special hybrids and species on the main and most visible shelf in the grow space. They don’t need super bright light, so the LED panels should do just fine!

I also have some Lechuza pots not being used, which gave an idea, due to their versatility! Since they have wick insert which transforms any pot (that fits) in self watering, why not try it with some thirsty Phalaenopsis?
