Saving a rotting Orchid – Cattleya with transport damage

Today we take care of my Cattleya orchid which was packed very wet, so many of the leaves and structures were very affected!

First we need to repot this orchid, offer it fresh medium and a brand new pot, since the old moss were degraded and the pot was unusable. I prefer self watering pots for these orchids anyway, more details here https://youtu.be/fHUbRxaOJmQ
After the roots are cleaned, I remove all the affected leaves and new growths. I then spray the entire orchid with hydrogen peroxide 3%, which will disinfect my entire orchid.
I am also trying out Dragon’s Blood, I will let you know if it does at least as good of a job as cinnamon 🙂
