Strange Phalaenopsis Orchid
So I ended up with a whole bunch of Phalaenopsis orchids to save, some more sick than others, some already dead but some in good shape. And one that is slightly peculiar!

This Phalaenopsis is the most common one you can find, white complex hybrid with pretty large blooms. However take a closer look at those flowers!
Some blooms are quite large compared to the others, which look to be more of a medium size than a large size. Though I did encounter orchids with smaller flowers at the top of the spike, the difference on this one is quite striking in comparison.
There also seem to have a slight difference in coloration. The white blooms have a yellow / white lip, while the smaller flowers have some purple pattern on the lips! Now this is a first for me.
The orchid is in pretty good condition, so I am really curious now to see next season’s blooms, will they be small and purple patterned? or big and white lipped? We just need patience 😀
