Today we take a trip down memory lane and revisit some footage of one of my oldest orchids, the Cattleya, or Slc. Hawaiian Splash Lea.

In 4 months this orchid will be 5 years old in my collection and the first video in which she can be found is this one https://youtu.be/LiQrm863ihE
You will probably cringe slightly, but here is some more : I managed to burn a leaf on this orchid and made my first educational video on the subject 🙂 https://youtu.be/z_KBjWkSz4Y
But guess what, this orchid bloomer shortly after I purchased it, only it was slightly disappointing. But I had to act like I love it, it wasn;t cheap at the time 😛 https://youtu.be/BHwgk5py1dw
The second bloom was a loooot better, check it out! https://youtu.be/SDqeiVKLCNE
What makes this orchid attractive is definitely that splash pattern, but did you know this is a sign of peloria? more on it here https://youtu.be/k6aNPtQSmtk
And in the end, the Lea is just as lovely and easy to care for as any Cattleya, but she does not like such bright light! https://youtu.be/KrejmlA40hQ
