Here is an update on my Vanda orchids, recently unpotted and returned to a bare root growth. Things are coming back to normal already!

I have tried to keep my orchids potted in clay pots and medium, but I felt like they were not performing at their best. I managed to get to them in time before too much stress accumulated, here is what they looked like a few weeks ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf9mFYLTKC0
Ever since then the roots have started to grow again undisturbed, the orchids look happier and I am more confident they will start to act normal again and bloom on a regular basis like they used to.
As much as I like the idea of potted Vandas, I feel I cannot make them grow at their best in that set up. back to bare root Vandas for me.
