The special Orchids Updates – Vanilla, cucumber Orchid, variegated Cattleya & more!

Today we take a look at some orchids which I find special and not usually found in flower shops, or even nurseries 😀

1. Vanilla planifolia, one of the most popular new orchid available, is finally doing great! Just take a look at its history:

3. Barkeria spectabilis x Epidendrum criniferum is looking very visually appealing, due to the Anthocyanin pigment https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthocyanin This is how I received it https://youtu.be/VH2YrqPpMQw

4. Epicattleya Veitchii is growing well and we will have some flowers soon! I also have the Sophrocattleya Chester in buds 😛 Learn more about the Epidendrum radicans https://youtu.be/t8tN1yk97xg

5. Dendrobium cucumerinum, the cucumber orchid, is growing more and more.. cucumbers 😛 I think it’s a special orchid to have and it doesn’t take up space!

6. Cattleya Moscombe, the variegated Cattleya, is making a very slow recovery. I find it to be a very finicky one, compared to its cousins and I would really be careful with light!
